Our Build Story

Kampung Agong began as a coconut farm in Penaga, Penang, beside the paddy fields. Over the years, our own team turned it into a full agro-themed park: a mini animal farm, a village of traditional homestays, dedicated event spaces, and Kampung Cafe, one of the largest container cafes in Malaysia, built from 34 shipping containers.

Beyond the container structures, our team also builds cement replica and sculptural work, and wood craftsmanship such as traditional carved windows, shutters and doors. Every piece on this land, from the container cafe to the smallest wood or cement detail, was planned, designed and built by us, on our own site, under our own budget and timeline.

We are now opening this experience to other landowners, operators and developers who want to build a kampung-style attraction, homestay village, container cafe or agro-tourism space of their own.

What We Build

Our build capability goes beyond one type of structure. Three areas we work in:

Container Structures

Full container-based builds, from single units to large layouts such as Kampung Cafe’s 34-container design, including layout planning, container placement and finishing.

Cement Replica Work

Cement replica and sculptural pieces, murals and decorative wall or garden features in the traditional kampung style, built to match the character of the surrounding space.

Wood Craftsmanship

Wood-based features and replica work, including traditional carved windows, shutters, doors and other kampung-style wood details, built the way they would have traditionally been made

Why Choose Us

  • We have actually built it. Not a design agency working from theory, our own park, cafe, farm, homestays, cement and wood features are proof of what we deliver.

  • One team, start to finish. design, structure, cement work, wood work and on-site build guidance, without handing you between multiple contractors.

  • Malaysian site conditions. Weather, land type, materials and local suppliers we already know, because we have worked with them ourselves.

Our Process

A four-stage process built from our own experience, from first idea to opening day.

1. Concept Consultation

We sit down with you to understand your land, your budget and your vision, then translate it into concept sketches and layout ideas so you can see the possibilities early.

2. Site & Layout Planning

We assess your site conditions and plan the layout, zoning and flow, from container placement to walkways, cement features, wood features and event spaces.

3. Detail Planning

We work out the practical details, materials, structure and sequencing, drawing on what actually held up, and what did not, through our own build.

4. Build Guidance

We stay involved during construction, offering direction on site so the finished result matches the plan and holds up to real visitor traffic.
